Increased fuel costs burning up a hole in your pocket? Here are some tips to increase your fuel efficiency

Smooth Driving - Continuous acceleration and braking increases the fuel consumption by a huge margin. Acceleration and braking should be smooth and in a proper manner. Aggresive accelerating will consume much more fuel. Try to maintain a constant speed while driving.

Red Lights - Try switching off your engine at red lights or in huge traffic jams.

Clutch - Most of us have a habit of keeping a foot on the clutch while riding. It wastes a lot of engine power. Avoid keeping your foot on the clutch pedal while driving

Open windows - Try keeping your windows closed at high speeds. The air drag causes a lot of wastage of fuel

Tyres - Keep the pressure in your tyres at an optimum level. Fancy over sized tyres should not be used

Petrol quality - Although it is difficult to find but try filling up petrol from the 100% honest petrol pumps only.

Distance - Cars turn out to be more efficient while going for a long distance. For small trips to the nearby market prefer using your bikes/scooters
